시대정신이 곧 세계관이다. 세계관, 이것이 세계를 움직이다. 인간이란 세계관 속에서 움직이는 존재일 뿐이다. 그 누구도 세계관 밖으로 나갈 수 없다. 뛰어난 지성이 할 수 있는 건 무엇인가? 그건 단지 현재의 세계관이 무엇인가를 파악하는 것뿐이다. 세계관을 바꿀 수는 없다. 단지 내가 어떤 세계관 속에 갇혀 있는가를 파악하는 것, 이것이 우리가 할 수 있는 전부이며 내가 하고자 하는 일이다.
